Three-Stage Quality Inspection Before Anything Ships

Fixing a deck problem after it reaches a warehouse overseas costs far more than catching it on the press. Our QC is built around that arithmetic: check the paper coming in, watch the run while it prints, and inspect a random sample before the cartons are sealed.

The Three Checks

Where Quality Is Verified

Each stage has its own checklist and its own record, so a problem can be traced back to a batch, a sheet or a machine.

1

Incoming Material Check

Paper weight and whiteness, core quality, board thickness and ink batch are checked when stock arrives — before it reaches the press.

2

In-line Inspection

Ink density, registration and coating coverage are monitored through the run. Sheets are pulled and compared with the approved sample.

3

Pre-shipment Check

A random sample from the finished batch is checked for cut accuracy, card count, box fit and packing before cartons are closed.

Checklist

What We Actually Look At

Colour
Compared with the approved sample and, where specified, the Pantone reference — under the same lighting conditions each time.
Registration
Front and back alignment checked on the cut deck; misregistration shows immediately as a white edge on the border.
Cutting
Card size, squareness and corner radius measured against the dieline; short or torn corners rejected.
Lamination
Bubbles, lift at the edge and delamination tested by hand on sample cards from the batch.
Card Count
Deck completeness verified after automatic collation — missing or duplicated cards are the most common retail complaint.
Box & Packing
Deck fit, tray depth, booklet fit, shrink wrap quality, carton quantity and labelling.
Print Defects
Hickeys, scumming, set-off and streaks checked on the press sheet and on the finished deck.
Quality inspection on the production floor
Records

Evidence, Not Reassurance

For most overseas orders, the buyer cannot walk the floor. What we can send instead is documentation: the approved sample stays with the job as the colour reference, and inspection results travel with the shipment.
