Flash Cards for Publishers: Paper, Lamination and Binding

How to specify educational flash cards: paper, matte lamination, rounded corners and binding options.

Key takeaways

  • 300gsm art paper with matte lamination keeps flash cards glare-free and comfortable to handle.
  • Rounded corners are the practical choice for decks used by younger children.
  • Ring binding, boxed sets and shrink-wrapped stacks are different packing projects — decide before quoting.

Flash cards are used in classrooms, language learning and exam preparation. Durability and writability matter more than premium snap, so the specification differs from playing cards.

Paper weight and surface

300gsm art paper with matte lamination is the standard: stiff enough to hold shape, smooth enough to write on with a dry-erase marker if required. Thinner stock reduces cost but curls in humid climates.

Corners, drilling and binding

Rounded corners prevent dog-earing; drilling and ring binding allow sets to be organised on a ring or in a box. We can also produce two-sided cards with different content per side.

Sets and packing

Cards can be packed in tuck boxes, shrink-wrapped bundles or divided boxes with tabs. For school distribution, carton packing and labelling can be customised.

MOQ and timing

Our standard MOQ is 500 decks. However, if your order is under 500 decks, our sales team will work with you to find the most cost-effective option. Samples take 5–7 days; production 15–20 days after artwork and specifications are confirmed.
